While reading the many different blogs about Kratom we often come across questions like: are the crushed Kratom leaves same as Kratom powder, are the Kratom leaves stronger than the Kratom powder, the dosing for Kratom leaves and powder is same? However, we hardly find proper answers to these questions. This blog will help you in a better understanding of Kratom crushed leaves.
The crushed Kratom leaf is the Kratom leaf that also contains the stem and vein, unlike the powder which is devoid of the stem and veins. It is a fresh leaf of Kratom that is broken into tiny pieces so that one can take it easy.
Taking in a large leaf of Kratom tree can be a bitter experience for many. People also call crushed Kratom leaves as broken Kratom leaves. The smaller sized portions are more edible and more comfortable to brew as compared to larger or whole Kratom leaf. Crushed Kratom leaves are also easier to craft and package in small tea brewing bags.
The alkaloids in the stem and vein differ from the leaf. Therefore, it is right to say that the Kratom crushed leaves have different properties than the Kratom in the powder form.
How can I use crushed Kratom leaves?
There are many ways to use crushed Kratom leaves. Some people prefer to chew it and directly get the effects of Kratom, but as we already know that Kratom is intensely bitter so this is not a method that many prefer.
One way to use crushed Kratom leaves is to add them to food or sprinkle them on top of your food. Heating may reduce the effects of the crushed leaves if not done correctly. People commonly use this method of intake as this reduces the unpleasant taste of Kratom.
The most popular and favorite method is to make a tea out of crushed Kratom leaves. Brewing Kratom tea is one of my most favorite ways too as it soothes you instantly, and most of all, it doesn’t require any special requirements. You can make it like regular tea, but use Kratom crushed leaves instead of tea leaves. Some people prefer using the Whole leaf instead of crushed Kratom leaves as the Whole leaf has a lesser surface area; thus, it doesn’t impart the bitter aroma to the tea.
Some people also choose to convert crushed leaves into powder form and then use it in the form of capsules or pure powder. Users say that with the alkaloids present in stem and veins of Kratom crushed leaves give a more potent effect when one converts them into powder form.
Dosing of Kratom crushed leaves vs. powder
Contrary to what people say that the similar dose of Kratom crushed leaves and powder shall provide the same effects, Kratom crushed leaves provide different results than the powder. The reason is that the crushed leaves also contains veins and stem that have various alkaloids and flavonoids. On the other hand, the powder is the refined product of the Kratom plant.
Kratom fresh leaves vs. Kratom crushed leaves
The fresh leaves of Kratom aren’t edible. The edible form of Kratom is broken Kratom either or powder. As compared to fresh leaves or whole Kratom leaves, the crushed leaves are more purposeful as one can pack them quickly and place them in brewing bags, but the chances of additives being present in these bags increase with crushed leaves, as one cannot differentiate between the crushed leaves and the additives.
You may also find crushed leaves bitter as they have more surface easier, but at the same time, they are more potent than the whole leaf as they release more alkaloids. The absorption of Crushed Kratom leaves is quicker than fresh or Whole leaves.
